Dealing with losses - Keep or Sell?
Hello dear community,
I am new here on getquin and wanted to start a discussion on the topic of dealing with losses.
I myself, like many others probably, started investing after the Corona crash and got influenced by the growth-above-all preachers. Since I'm in my mid-20s and my goal is long-term capital accumulation, I quickly bought stocks that were wildly overvalued at the time, like $NET (+2,43 %) , $SQ (+0,18 %) , $APPS (+3,52 %) or $PLTR (+5,1 %) I bought.
Due to professional stress, I had traded less actively in the past year and just let the portfolio run. The result is a stock portfolio 25% in the red, which was fortunately cushioned somewhat by my base investments in ETFs (80% of my total investment). Nevertheless, I am now faced with the decision whether to sell such deep red things or not? The goal of these investments is still capital generation.
I would be interested to know how you deal with such values and what are your worst investments so far?
In the sense, despite unpleasant topic, on a good exchange 🤙
