Do you think a possible Trump candidacy could have negative long-term consequences due to the idea of breaking up the company that emerged during his first term? $GOOGL (+1,13 %) Group during his first term? I personally believe, contrary to many analysts, that it would be a short-term setback, but not a major problem in the future.

It keeps coming up, and Trump is not alone in this; there are also influential supporters among the Democrats, such as Elizabeth Warren. I suspect that something along these lines will happen at some point, but I share your view. It may hurt in the short term, but I don't see any fundamental threat to the business model in the long term.
