1. job cuts at Tesla
Elon Musk is starting the job cuts only in the US for now. His goal with the more than 3,000 layoffs is to prevent a recession at Tesla, which Musk fears given current events on the markets. However, employees in Brandenburg will not have to fear for their jobs, as Tesla plans to increase the number of jobs at the new production site.

2. bitcoin recovers
Bitcoin has managed to bounce back after breaking the $20,000 level over the weekend for the first time since 2020. In the meantime, the value was only $18,900 and has since returned to $21,120.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is alleged to have artificially inflated the value of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin through his outreach on social media and then let it crash again. He allegedly promoted the currency and made it grow profitably for him. The value of the currency has now been declining since May 2021. The coin has made a whopping 134,555% increase in value when it peaked at 0.69 cents per coin in May 2021.
