Closing 2024 and conclusion

Hello everyone interested in finance,

Time is running out and before you know it, the year is already over. 🚀

We are fast approaching Christmas and while the last dividends for this year are fluttering in and the last investments are being made, we are already making plans for 2025 and adjusting our goals accordingly if necessary.

Last year, I had resolved to focus less on individual stocks and to get back on track with my health in addition to the work I had to do around the houses. The focus for savings plans should be on the $GGRP (-0,09 %) should be on the

Well, what can I say? It turned out completely differently, of course, and like the @DividendenWaschbaer I tend to prefer individual stocks 🙃

As a result, I invested a lot more here than originally planned. Which is basically not the worst thing ☺️

Over the year, I was able to achieve a monthly savings rate of around 40-45%, which meant I significantly exceeded my targets for the year.

In addition to my salary, this was made possible by rental income and monthly net dividends of around €165. For me (a simple skilled worker in industry without a night shift), this adds up to quite a tidy sum, but at the same time it also means that I fell well short of my target of €200 net. Well, new attempt in 2025, postponed is not canceled 😅

In terms of real estate, things have also gone quite well.

The outside area of the apartment building is 99% complete (as we all know, you never really finish 😜), the old property has found nice new owners and the same tenant is still living in the apartment building. To sum up, things could have gone worse!

In terms of health, things didn't progress as hoped, Long Covid is still kicking and the completion of the outdoor area around the house was followed by a double slipped disc (who actually needs shit like that? 🥹)

So health is back at the top of the list for 2025, closely followed of course by increasing the monthly dividend 😬 🚀

We are also still looking at potential properties from time to time so that we can possibly shorten our working hours earlier (who doesn't want to be lying on the beach in their late 50s? @Barsten 🍹 sipping 😎 🏝️)

As the lady of the house would like another conservatory, I probably won't be able to keep the savings rate at the same level, but you should treat yourself sometimes and don't forget -> Happy Wife, Happy Life! 😋

To summarize:

Health top priority 🚀 Rehab in early summer if necessary

Winter garden in fall 2025

Net monthly dividend of € 200

And one more thing on my own behalf:

This year, I am once again supporting the "Dividends against cancer" donation shares.

The money goes to the Children's Cancer Foundation. Even small amounts help here. I would be delighted if there were one or two donors among you! @Simpson
@Barsten
@DividendenWaschbaer
@FrauManu
@DonkeyInvestor feel addressed 💚

You can donate here: https://www.kinderkrebsstiftung.de/spenden-helfen/spendenaktion/?cfd=8m2vx&frb_utm_source=social-share-link#cff

Now it only remains for me to say thank you if you have read this text up to this point and of course a Merry Christmas and all the best for the coming year! 🎅 🍀

I'm glad you're donating. Cancer is a nasty motherfucker. However, I prefer to donate to animals or people who never had a chance in the first place. Also, many people donate at the end of the year. But aid organizations also need donations throughout the year. That's why I'm not taking part this time.

Good luck restoring and maintaining your health and building your own home. I already know why I'm not buying a property for my own use: working on it would ruin me. Either physically, mentally or financially. Maybe all three 😁. But that's a lifestyle decision that everyone can make individually

Thank you for the insights and get well soon! Health is the most important thing, which is why I regularly donate to children's cancer research and to organizations that make life easier for people with disabilities.

Thanks for sharing.
I will also be donating part of the dividend in December. I don't know exactly where yet. I have a smaller selection again, which may all end up getting a share or maybe it will all go to one. I always decide on December 24th, even if a lot of donations are made around Christmas (and not at all the rest of the year), it's still worth a lot. And after all, the donation shouldn't go straight to the head, but should be managed (so that the Christmas donations last beyond January).

Good luck for next year. We have completed the conservatory and the courtyard this year. That's why I'll be building up my assets away from the depot again next year. Let's see how I can control myself 😅
