I would not put 50% into a Nasdaq ETF. If so, then rather S&P500 or even better a World or All Country World.

@Johann_van_der_Smut If you want to take more risk and have a long investment horizon, this can be a good return booster... Maybe 60% Allworld, 30% NASDAQ and 10% Bitcoin

@InternetExplorer It can be, yes. But it can also backfire. The question is also how long the investment horizon is. At some point in 10-15 years, a 21-year-old may also need money. Family, living situation, etc.
I think a (small) part of the 50% in the Nasdaq is justifiable.
@Johann_van_der_Smut Unfortunately nobody has had a crystal ball yet;)

@Johann_van_der_Smut why is the sp500 better than nasdaq? I only have sp500

@Demas I never said that one is better than the other. My point is the risk and I think that investing in 500 companies is less risky than 100

@Demas not better - only more potential on tech, more draw downs- on long term SPY is THE ONE with good mixture ….

I also only have the Nasdaq100, which rises faster than the S&P500 and doesn't fall without it.

I prefer more return than more diversification.
