Hello people

Today I wanted to introduce you to a stock and ask for your opinion, as I am thinking about adding it to my portfolio.

It is about the company Corning Incorporated. $GLW (+1,43 %) Is a leading global manufacturer of specialty glass and ceramic products. The company was founded in 1851 and is headquartered in Corning, New York. Corning is known for its research and development of innovative materials and products used in a wide range of applications, including display technology, environmental and life sciences products, networking solutions and biopharmaceutical products. With more than 200 years of experience and a strong focus on research and development, Corning is a recognized leader in its industry. Samsung also announced that the new generation Galaxy flagship will be made with Corning (R) Gorilla (R) Glass.

Now for some data:

Market cap: 28.14 billion

P/E RATIO: 23.26

Earnings per share as of latest quarter: $0.470, year-ago quarter: $0.540

Full year earnings 2022: 2.09 USD

6 M: -0,14%

In my eyes a solid dividend stock, which is firmly established in the market and also has potential to increase. What do you think? Is it worthwhile to add this share to the portfolio?

P.S. I am just starting to analyze individual stocks more and more correctly. Maybe you can give me some feedback, what I could do better, what I forgot or what is important to analyze.

Thanks and have a nice evening!

Hi Filip, thanks for your introduction. For me still pay out free cash flow and dividend growth last 5 and 10 years is important. Does the company have significant competitors? How big is the order from Samsung? So how does that possibly affect sales? I can recommend you the step by step guide from @RealMichaelScott. Very worth reading. https://app.getquin.com/activity/rYqJXvNOxZ?lang=de&utm_source=sharing https://app.getquin.com/activity/rYqJXvNOxZ?lang=de&utm_source=sharing
