For whatever reason, the post is only being displayed to me now 😁

Thanks again for your work! I know the company from my time in South Africa, but at the time I initially dismissed it as uninteresting. Too much competition, too many problems in Africa that could affect the company itself.
But that was almost 4 years ago, in the meantime the overvaluation has been reduced and it looks okay. Maybe I'll take a small position.

Are you also invested with a small tranche yourself?

@Barrd thanks for the info, would be great if you had more insights here. I'm planning to take a small position of around 1.5 k today if the spread wasn't so high 😂. As we all know, it narrows against the Americans' opening.

@Barrd What other competition is there in the larger area? Do you have any contacts who have more insight into how well it works and whether they use it themselves?

@BamBamInvest I can only talk about South Africa here, not about other countries in Africa. But in South Africa, takealot was used almost exclusively at the time.
However, this simply varies from region to region. As you have already written, the expansion there is rather poor, which is why it is simply not possible to deliver at all in some regions. If Jumia can get a grip on this there, I see strong opportunities.

I only have contacts there privately, but I'd be happy to write to them and ask what the current situation is :)

@Barrd would be great, the perception of people who use it themselves is always very meaningful and important. 👍
