The year 2024 is history, now 2025 is just around the corner! And in the year just ended, there were a few stories that moved people. These included the launch of a new fast food chain in Germany - the people in charge at McDonald's, Burger King and Co. are keeping a very close eye on it.
If you love fast food, you can't get past McDonald's and Burger King. The two companies are probably the best-known chains when it comes to burgers, fries and the like. But will this soon come to an end? The competition is now on the rise!
McDonald's, Burger King and co.: competitor with a different cuisine
In May 2024, the news made the rounds: Taco Bell is coming to Germany! This means that after McDonald's, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut, the next fast food provider is coming to our country.
Although Taco Bell does not have the same range as McDonald's and Burger King, with its Mexican cuisine (burritos, tacos and co.), Taco Bell could steal customers away from McDonald's, Burger King and co. in some places.
McDonald's, Burger King and co.: Taco Bell had to postpone its opening
While it was still said in spring 2024 that the first Taco Bell branch would open in Berlin in midsummer 2024, things look different at the beginning of 2025: According to the dpa, IS-Holding (ISH) does not want to open the first Taco Bell branch in Berlin until summer 2025. ISH owns the franchise rights for Germany.
