Latest news on Petrobras

$PETR4 (+0.55%) - Wallstreet online has published a recent article on Petrobras, which I think is worth reading for anyone who is invested there.

I think the headline doesn't sound so good, but I don't find the actual content so problematic. I think it's rather good that not so much is financed on credit. But perhaps you would like to give your opinion on this.

I am planning my position in $PETR4 (+0.55%) in the next 4-6 months. If the dividend falls by 15 to 20% compared to the past and is more sustainable (as I understand it from the article), that would be okay for me.

Due to falling oil price: Petrobras hits the cost brakes - investors fear for dividend power - 28.11.2025 https://share.google/tbxyWjzTt4bKv3qON

@SAUgut777 - You had already thought about the stability of the dividends and sold your investment as a precaution. In my view, this shows how well and intensively you are dealing with your investments. Top.

It would be interesting for me to see whether Petrobras, with its adjusted orientation, is once again an entry case if the corresponding prices arise.

First of all, thanks for the flowers and yes, there were reasons why I left here.

If you consider that the November and December dividends could only be capped via the point "maximum borrowing (8 billion) up to the upper limit" and that masses of ongoing projects were scrapped because there was no more money, you don't need to be a great prophet to recognize the discrepancy.

In the meantime, many more projects have been scrapped and I don't see any improvement in the medium term and then there's the issue of "converting fossil fuels"...how are they going to finance this 🤷🏻‍♂️

There are far too many risks for that:

E.g. the state that needs the cash cow

Let Ukraine be over and Russia sanctions be lifted

The excessive need for financing to drive the projects forward and then be successful again...

If there is already no more money, how is the change to be accomplished...

Dividends will go way down in the future and as a result the state will not like it and so the substance will continue to be milked....

Just a small selection of my points of criticism and reasons why I am out.

After all, I'm still collecting compensation until the end of the year 😉👍🏻

Oil companies are dependent on the oil price and I think it will continue to fall.
With $75 billion in debt, I think it is right to cut the dividends somewhat or at least not to pay out any special dividends.
